Tualatin, OR — Hundreds of excited families lined up early this morning as the long-awaited LEGO Store officially opened at Bridgeport Village. The colorful new addition to the shopping center offers fans of all ages a place to build, browse, and shop for the world’s most iconic bricks.

The grand opening featured balloons, giveaways, and hands-on building stations where kids tested their creativity. Towering LEGO models greeted shoppers, and the signature Pick & Build Wall let fans scoop cups of loose bricks in every imaginable color.

“This store is all about sparking imagination,” said one staff brick specialist. “Whether you’re five or fifty, LEGO has something for you to build, collect, or display.”

What’s New on the Shelves

The Bridgeport location launches with some of LEGO’s hottest fall 2025 releases:

  • The Death Star (2025 edition) — a massive 9,000+ piece Star Wars set featuring 38 minifigures, already drawing crowds.
  • Gizmo (Gremlins LEGO Ideas) — a playful fan-designed set that has been making waves since release.
  • LEGO Game Boy (Super Mario Series) — a nostalgic buildable handheld console bridging generations.
  • Holiday Express Train & Christmas Tree Sets — festive builds perfect for both play and holiday décor.
  • Technic and Creator 3-in-1 Sets — including a deep-sea submarine, Panda Family builds, and advanced challenges for older kids.

For kids ages 7–15, staff say the most asked-about sets right now include:

  • NINJAGO dragons and mechs (like the Thunderfang Dragon)
  • How to Train Your Dragon: Toothless (Icons series)
  • Super Mario Game Boy build
  • BrickHeadz collectibles from Stranger Things and Fortnite
  • Star Wars and Marvel tie-ins, always perennial favorites

“These sets hit the sweet spot — they’re challenging enough for older kids but still fun and imaginative,”one employee told me.

Inside the Store

Store manager Lauren, a Southridge High School graduate from Beaverton, shared her enthusiasm for the new location. She began her customer service career at 18 and now leads a team she describes as “fantastic to work with.” Watching them in action, it was clear they love their jobs.

Lauren emphasized that LEGO is for everyone, regardless of age. Many adults attended the grand opening, purchasing sets for themselves. The store also features a section where shoppers can buy single LEGO units and regularly hosts contests where kids build projects and share stories about them.

A Community Gathering

The store already feels like a hub for fans. I spoke with adult buyers involved in local LEGO clubs and watched children and parents create tiles for a mural being installed in the mall. I even met Hudson and Vincent from Keizer, Oregon — two recent contestants on LEGO Masters Junior streaming on Hulu. Out of thousands of entries, they earned their spot among just 10 contestants and spent two weeks filming in Georgia. Some of their displays were on-site, and it was a joy to hear them share stories about meeting other young builders from across the country.

Final Impressions

I highly recommend checking out the new LEGO Store at Bridgeport Village. From towering models to new releases, from contests to community clubs, it truly offers something for every builder. Walking through the doors, I felt like a kid in a candy store — and I suspect many families will feel the same.
