Happy Summer! I hope you are enjoying the beautiful summer days and getting out with the family! One of my favorite things about this time of year is exploring all the fun-filled water splash pads around town.

The first choice can be found in Wilsonville. Yes, I know it’s a drive, but let me assure you, it is worth it.

Town Center Park is my first choice for families, especially those with littles. The water fountain is set back from all the roads, so when your child makes a break for it, it will be to the play structure, not a major road. There are bathrooms close by and plenty of shade, along with a small play space. This one is by far my personal favorite, especially for those with littles. The location address is 29800 SW Park Pl Wilsonville, OR 97070.

Up next in Wilsonville, you have Murase Plaza, conveniently located across the street from the Wilsonville Library. One thing to note about this water feature is that it might be a better fit for older kids. The reason for that is that it lies directly by two very busy roads. If you have a little runner who isn’t afraid of cars yet, this would be a poor choice. There are bathrooms very close and a more extensive playground not that far within Memorial Park. There are some benches nearby as well as some shade. The location address is 8300 SW Memorial Dr. Wilsonville, OR 97070.

A little further in West Linn, you’ll find Hammerle Park. This location is set back from the road a bit which is excellent for ensuring the littles are safe from busy streets. The playground is adjacent, and the bathrooms are very close. This water feature is more spray-type than the above fountains but is still super fun in hot weather. The playground is excellent as well. The location address is 1505 Lewis Street, West Linn, OR 97068.

Tanner Creek Park in West Linn has renovated their spray park recently and is finally open! There is also a skate park for the adventuresome child as well. Bathrooms are nearby as well as a play space. The location address is 3456 Parker Road, West Linn, OR 97068.

Willamette Park in West Linn has a spray pad as well, making it an ideal place for families who prefer a bigger, more natural park to play in. From what I’ve gathered, there is no play structure, but there is a wading pool for fun! This sizeable 15-acre park has all sorts of areas to explore. Just be aware that it is different than the above. The location address is 1100 12th Street, West Linn, OR 97068.

I hope this list gives you a good starting point in the suburbs to find some water play fun.
