Nestled among towering pines and colorful aspens, our 42-acre, family-friendly retreat becomes one of the most beautiful places in Oregon to experience the changing seasons.
Fall at Lake Creek Lodge is nothing short of spectacular. Golden leaves shimmer in the sunlight, the crowds thin out, and families can slow down and reconnect with nature—and with each other. Kids can explore winding forest trails, watch for deer and other wildlife, skip rocks along Lake Creek, or cast a line in our stocked trout pond. Every day feels like a new adventure.
One of our favorite family activities is our Adventure Quest, a fun lodge-wide challenge designed just for kids. Young explorers can follow clues, solve puzzles, and discover hidden treasures throughout the property. It’s a great way to keep children engaged while creating memories they’ll be talking about long after the vacation ends.
When the weather turns chilly, the fun moves indoors. Families love gathering in our game room, where kids can challenge siblings and parents to friendly competitions. After a day of exploring, there’s nothing better than warming up by the fireplace, enjoying hot cocoa, and sharing stories about the day’s adventures.
Then winter arrives, and Lake Creek Lodge becomes a true wonderland.
Fresh snow blankets the forest, turning every cabin and trail into a scene straight from a holiday storybook. Children delight in building snowmen, making snow angels, sledding, and exploring the snowy landscape. Nearby Hoodoo Ski Area offers family-friendly skiing and snowboarding, making Lake Creek Lodge an ideal home base for winter fun.
Even on snowy days, there’s plenty to do right here at the lodge. Families can enjoy our game room, gather around the fire, soak in the hot tub, or relax together in the comfort of their cabin.
