Celebrate all things STEAM at OMSI’s Oregon Science Festival on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, at the museum!
This family-friendly event will feature more than 40 partner booths, science demonstrations led by OMSI educators, performances, and workshops throughout the museum. Learn about sound engineering, practice the art of roller skating, create a moon phase flip book, direct your own stop-motion video, get hands-on with rocks and minerals, and so much more!
Besides science-themed activities, the museum will also come alive with roaming entertainment, including a robot that tells jokes, custom balloon animals, and an artist who will create fairy hair for you. On the plaza is the Curiosity Stage, which will feature storytimes, Taiko drummers, a magic show, and a science-themed comedy performance.
Food carts will be on site for visitors so that you won’t miss a minute of the nonstop excitement. Tesla coil demonstrations, live reptiles, AR smart glasses demonstrations, and robots in action—all this and more await families, students, and explorers of all ages.
Get your tickets in advance for $2 off, or purchase as part of general admission at the door! OMSI members get in free.
