Fall is a wonderful time of year, and what better way to celebrate that than to have a Fall bucket list? This is a great way to spend time with your family and can make for some great memories. Bucket lists have become popular because of movies or other social media, and if you don’t have one for your life, it can be fun to do one for different seasons or occasions. With that in mind, check out our list!

Take A Trip To A Bookstore

Fall is the perfect time to get cozy with a book, regardless of your age. It’s the best feeling to relax when the leaves change, and you’ve got a cozy mystery or something that just brings the feeling of home. Thankfully, Portland has one of the best bookstores in the state. Powell’s Books is not only famous for having everything, but if you time your visit right, you can check out their rare book room. Portland is also great for having book-themed events, including Green Bean Books. You can also check out the book festival for a day of fun!

Go On A Hunt

Portland is known for being a city of culture, history, and a great sense of community. It can be fun to go around the city and check out the farmer’s and craft markets to discover local businesses and notable products and find incredible collections at the flea markets. All these are so fun to visit and can be a true adventure for your family. The farmer’s markets always have great produce no matter what, and checking out the other areas is a great way to find vintage items, fun decor, or local artists for soaps and other things you can use. It creates such a fun environment for families.

Pick Up A Good Treat

Fall is also the time for coffee, pumpkin drinks, hot soup, and things that make you warm and happy. Some great suggestions are a Ube Latte or a Maple Cold Brew for drinks and some Super Soup that will warm you to your toes. It’s a terrific fall treat. Another is to go and find sweet donuts, and I know where to go. Check out Doe Donuts! They have unique flavors of donuts, such as a Breakfast BLT or The Portland Fog, but for the rest of October, you’ll also find cannoli, pumpkin crumble, or Mississippi mud. The flavors are the best blend of sweet and savory, and you’ll love every bite.

See The Wonderful Colors of The Season

Fall is the best season to see new colors and beautiful scenery. When you want to take your family to see nature in its most beautiful form, you should take them to Forest Park. It has gorgeous trails and so many lovely plants and wildlife that it feels like you’re entering another world and experiencing something special.

The area offers native plants along with ferns, maples, creeks, and other terrain that not only make a great hike for families but are also great for photos and having a great fall memory. If you’re looking for a way to give back to your family, you can also volunteer.

See A Garden

People also love to visit gardens in the Fall to see the flowers. Like hiking trails, going to a garden is a wonderful way to see the flowers and, in this case, experience culture.

I’d recommend the Japanese Gardens. There are gardens in different areas: the Strolling Pond Garden, the Flat Garden, the Tea Garden, the Natural Garden, and the Entry Garden. Each offers something unique and innovative. For instance, the Flat Garden has the Pavilion Gallery, and The Tea Garden, of course, is where the Tea House is.

The Umami Cafe is another excellent place to take your family in the Fall. The food is terrific and savory. For a lovely day in the Fall, I would recommend some Miso soup or Ochazuke. It’s flavorful and hearty. They also have delicious cake and brownies, and the tea is absolutely the star of the show. It’s a must for a bucket list.

Add The Fun

The best part about a bucket list is you can always add as many things as you want. Try a new restaurant, jump in the leaves, bake cookies, and make beautiful memories. Enjoy the season because it’s a lovely time of the year. Be sure to dress warmly and see all that this season offers. Have fun!
