The Lobby is on the move—and we’re popping up in style ✨
We’ve teamed up with The Writers’ Block for a three-month exhibition, Seeing the What, and you are invited.
Come experience our new digs in downtown Portland, open free to the public Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12–4pm, with gallery staff on hand to talk art, answer questions, and dive deep with you.
Expect knockout work by Leonardo Drew, Alex Katz, Deborah Roberts, Vik Muniz, Ranjani Shettar, Lonnie Holley, and more. It’s bold, it’s thoughtful, it’s very now.
Inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s iconic line—“The real question is not what you look at, but what you see”—this show asks the ultimate art-world question: when an image is made, what do you actually see?
Meaning isn’t fixed. Intention meets perception. Abstraction opens the door, recognizable imagery flips the script—and suddenly you’re part of the work. That’s the vibe. Come see what you see.
