Preschool Rides & Story Time – June 17-August 27, 2025 – Tuesday and Wednesday – 10 AM–12 PM
Young children (age six and younger) can enjoy Chipper’s Preschool Rides, followed by a snack and story session at the Historic Dance Pavilion until 12:30 PM. Tickets are $13.50 per child (with adults admitted free), and demand is already high; some sessions have sold out. Get tickets here.
Pride Rides Day – June 29, 2025 – 12 PM–7 PM
Oaks Park hosts its fourth annual Pride Rides in celebration of Portland’s LGBTQ+ community. Attractions include discounted ride bracelets (30% off online with code PRIDERIDES25), themed games and treats, a vendor fair, entertainment, and a special Pride Skate session from 7 PM–9:30 PM priced at $13.50.Get tickets here.
Sip ’n Skate Science & Skate Night (21+) – June 30, 2025 – 7 PM–10 PM
Adults (21+) can join Sip ’n Skate, a STEM-themed evening featuring roller skating, engineering activities around skate design, DJ music, and a drink ticket. Admission is $24 and includes skate rentals. Get tickets here.
Fourth of July at Oaks Park – July 4, 2025
The fourth is full of fun. Rides operate from noon to midnight, and fireworks at 10 PM. The cost is $38.50 per person. For kids ages 3-9 years old, admission also includes a souvenir American flag and two vouchers, each valid for one game, one cotton candy, or one ice cream treat. Everyone ages three and older must have a ticket to enter the park, including non-riders. Kids 2 and under are free. Ticket quantities are limited. No on-site ticket sales will be available on the day of the event. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome; however, outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Gates open at 11 AM. Games and mini golf are sold separately. The Roller Rink is closed on July 4. Get tickets here.
Teddy Bear Picnic Day & Family Events – July 10, 2025
It is National Teddy Bear Picnic Day at Oaks. Families can bring stuffed animals, join parades, enjoy storytime and tea parties, and receive 20% off ride bracelets.
Junior Roller-Derby Summer Camps – June 16–August 8, 2025
The Rose City Rollers host their junior roller‑derby day camps at the Oaks Park Hangar. Camps run Monda through Friday, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, and welcome kids ages 7–18 of all skill levels.
