About Adriana Wagner
Adriana Wagner isn’t just a trombonist—she’s a rising force in Portland’s jazz scene. A true innovator, she blends jazz with salsa, R&B, and indie influences, crafting a sound that’s fresh, dynamic, and unmistakably her own.
A Portland State alumna, Adriana honed her craft under jazz greats George Colligan and Darrell Grant, earning a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies. In 2022, she formed her own quartet, and they’ve been lighting up stages ever since—gracing the PDX Jazz Festival, Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festival, Creative Music Guild Festival, and the Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble.
If you haven’t seen her live at The 1905, you’re missing out!
Her compositions? Bold. Evocative. Unforgettable. While deeply rooted in jazz traditions, her music pushes boundaries, weaving intricate storytelling with modern textures. With a buttery tone and lyrical style, Adriana’s trombone playing soars and melts in equal measure, creating sonic experiences that transport listeners to new realms.
🚀 Bottom line? Adriana Wagner is one to watch. Portland’s jazz scene—and beyond—better be ready! 🔥🎶
