Caroline Woodward
Caroline is a writer of fiction for adults, poetry, and children’s books, which have been nominated for eleven different awards between them all. She now lives and writes full-time in the village of New Denver, B.C., after working as a lighthouse keeper for thirteen years based in the Gulf Islands. Her books include A West Coast Summer, The Village of Many Hats, and Singing Away the Dark, which was published in French, Korean, Bulgarian, Chinese, and Japanese. Her memoir, Light Years: Memoir of a Modern Lighthouse Keeper, became a best-seller. She has served on the boards of colleges and art councils. She and her husband co-founded and sold an independent bookstore and she spent eight years as a publishers’ sales representative.
Claire Watson
Claire Victoria Watson was raised on the West Coast, and spent most of her time outdoors on the ocean or in the forests. As a visual artist, her mediums of choice are pen & ink, watercolor, acrylic, and digital. She is known for her stylized fine line work, organic color palette, and capturing the unique personality of the West Coast in the wildlife, ocean, and landscapes. Claire works as an independent artist, illustrator & graphic designer and sells her artwork all over the world. She enjoys a relatively minimalist, nomadic, and creative lifestyle. After raising her family in Tofino and on Gabriola Island, Claire now calls Victoria home.
