Splash pads in parks open for summer 2024 on June 15! They run between 10 am-8 pm daily through Labor Day (these are new extended hours this summer). Interactive fountains were activated during the spring. Since there are several splash pads and fountains in Portland, this is presented as a running list.

Bill Naito Legacy Fountain at Waterfront Park – SW Ankeny near the Burnside Bridge Portland, OR (operates 24 hours a day)
Teachers Fountain at Director Park – 815 SW Park Avenue Portland, OR (7:00 am – 10:00 pm)
Grant Park – NE 33rd Avenue and US Grant Place Portland, OR (11:00 am – 7:00 pm) Expected to be activated on June 1, 2023.

Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District
Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District’s Splash Pads are opening over Memorial Day weekend for the summer. This park district has fewer splash pads, so they are listed in a more detailed manner.

Cedar Hill Park -2300 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard Portland, OR
Since the redevelopment, the park now features a multi-purpose synthetic athletic field with lights and a concessions building, as well as a multi-use sports court, bocce ball courts, volleyball court, play area, interactive splash pad, picnic areas and shelter, community garden, and a permanent ADA accessible restroom. This splash pad is free. The adjacent play area at William Walker Elementary School is available to community members during evenings and weekends.
Timberland Park – NW 118th Ave. (via NW Barnes Road or NW Cornell Road) Portland, OR
Tucked into a large development of apartment homes in Cedar Mill, this one-acre park provides residents and neighbors a central gathering place. Timberland Park is located just south of Beaverton School District’s new middle school and just up the road from the Timberland Town Center. At the top of the park sits its most distinctive attraction, a water feature that will keep guests cool during summer weather. Ample bench seating and a drinking fountain are nearby. This splash pad is free.
Reflections Plaza – 13400 NW Cornell Road Portland, OR
This pocket park water feature is located on NW Cornell and Joy Street at the entrance to the Cedar Grove Apartments. This splash pad is free.
Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center – 9985 SW 125th Avenue Beaverton, OR
This location offers an outdoor splash pad operating during open facility hours. Drop-in fees apply. The 4,500-square-foot facility, open daily during facility hours, is designed for children of all ages. A toddler bay includes several low-spraying features. For older children, the site includes dumping buckets and sprays that can be aimed at each other for added fun.
Gresham’s Fountain and Splash Pad
The Children’s Fountain – 401 NE Second Street Gresham, OR
This is Gresham’s premier park. During warm weather, kids can play in two fountains, one designed for toddlers and one for bigger kids, that are powered by jets of cool, clean, chlorinated water. The Children’s Fountain closes for the season on September 30, 2024.
Johanna is married with two kids, three dogs, three cats, one leopard gecko, several chickens, and a few fish. She has been in the Pacific Northwest since the dream was alive in the 90s but has Southern roots and hails from Arkansas. The family spends a lot of time at some sort of sporting event for the kids. Johanna likes to fast craft, garden, host parties, and bake. Johanna and her crew go hard traveling, DIY-ing, and are always up for a new adventure or challenge.
