JOHN DAY, Or., Tuesday, August 29, 2023 — Quirky Bird Records announces the newest release, “No Buzzards Allowed,” from Eastern Oregon children’s author and recording artist Melodious Mutt. Each book is accompanied by an original song recorded at Nettleingham Audio in Vancouver, Washington featuring Portland’s finest session players. “No Buzzards Allowed” is about two Arizona buzzards in love who don’t belong until they find the magical Lake Owyhee in Eastern Oregon. The song “Lake Owyhee” earned him a semi-finalist spot in the International Songwriting Competition. His first book, “Bear In A Cage,” is the story of Henry the Bear in Mitchell, Oregon, and was mentioned on Arizona Public Television in a feature about illustrator Paige Poppe.
