- Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center (SHARC)
For little ones with energy to burn, the SHARC is the place to go. With both full indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a basketball court, a disc golf range, rock climbing walls, tennis and pickleball courts, obstacle courses, and bocce ball, you’ll have a hard time managing to explore the entire place in a whole day. During the winter, there’s even a tubing hill to slide and sled on! They have their own onsite cafe during the summer, and picnic spaces are available year-round for bringing a feast from home. Admission is open either with a membership pass or for general admission, so locals and tourists alike are going to be able to have a blast.
- Sun Mountain Fun Center
The Sun Mountain Fun Center has a little bit of everything – bowling, bumper cars, arcade games, laser tag, virtual reality games, go-karts, mini-golf, batting cages, carnival rides, and billiards. The whole family can easily find something they’ll love. The onsite restaurant features gourmet burgers, pizza, salads, desserts, and plenty of snacks and appetizers for snacking throughout the day. There’s even beer and wine available for Mom and Dad to relax a little bit! Admission is free, although the activities require tickets to enter. Packages are available for discounted prices to get your various games and activities bundled together and range from $18-$40 depending on the guest’s age and the number of activities they’re participating in.
- High Desert Museum
The High Desert Museum is a sprawling 135-acre property featuring an authentic homestead and sawmill from 1904 and a massive museum where visitors can learn about the history of Oregon. With up-close and personal experiences with local wildlife such as owls, hawks, falcons, and vultures, visitors have a chance to learn not just about the history of Oregon but also the local ecology. Take a tour of the museum to learn about the history of Oregon’s Native American people, the Oregon Trail, and the natural desert wildlife of Oregon. There are even live historical reenactments of what life was like for early settlers of the region and an outdoor exhibit displaying local flora. Dine onsite at the Rimrock Cafe to get sandwiches, wraps, coffee, and snacks. Admission is $14 for general admission during the off-season between November and March, and $17 during the spring and summer, with discounts available for seniors, students, and children. Little ones two and under get in for free, and active US Military service members and their families receive free admission.
- Trampoline Zone
Trampoline Zone is a fantastic place when you have highly active kiddos. Far more than just a trampoline park, the Trampoline Zone has many fun, family-friendly activities to participate in. In addition to the massive 50-bed trampoline park, there are interactive rock climbing walls featuring puzzles and climbing races, an elaborate laser maze, a ninja-style obstacle course, and pickleball courts. Admission is available in 1 or 2-hour time slots, each of which is $14 and $20, respectively. Access to the laser maze comes separately at only $1/play.
