Want to celebrate as a family but don’t know where to start? Well, we’ve got you covered in things to do with the family.
First up, the All-Ireland Cultural Society of Oregon is back with a bang this year. All events will take place inside the large ballroom, but luck is with parents this year since there will be a separate quiet room off to the side filled with children’s activities. Face-painting, Irish coloring pages, Legos, Irish Storytime, and lots of opportunities to learn about Irish music and dancing will be available to little lucky ones. There will also be an “instrument petting zoo” for all. One thing to note, food and drink aren’t included in the pricing, but there are Irish foods (and non-Irish foods for picky eaters. Beer, Irish Cream, wine, non-alcoholic beer, Irish crème sodas, cookies, water, and chips will all be available. Irish dancers and a few amazing bands will be present for your entertainment. See website for details.

The Dullahan Irish Restaurant and Pub in Lake Oswego is having a festival to celebrate the luck of the Irish all weekend long. One thing to note, parents, is that it will be 21 and over only after 6pm on Friday and Saturday, so if you have younger kids get there early to start celebrating. On Sunday, all ages will be allowed all day for $5. The good news is because it’s a party all weekend, you can still have plenty of great food and great beer on top of top-notch entertainment no matter the time you arrive. There will be dancers and family-friendly singers on Sunday especially. But remember to get a sitter after 6pm so the adults can enjoy the fun! As a note, food is fantastic there no matter the time of year you go.
Address: 325 B Ave, Lake Oswego, OR

Who doesn’t love a good parade and festival? I know I do! Saint Agatha’s Catholic School has us covered! Saturday, March 11th, at noon is the parade, and there will be carnival games galore until 4:30. Of course, there will be Irish dancers, a cake walk, food carts, and live music with a beer garden option. The celebration ends with a Mass at 5pm if that’s your jam.
