Join us in supporting families who have lost a young child as we host our 3rd Annual Give Grief a Voice (GGaV) Exhibition and Benefit this Saturday, Oct 23.
The GGaV Project supports families who have lost a young child. We provide storytelling and artwork as a framework for tools to have conversations surrounding grief. A writer listens to and records each family’s story, then an artist is commissioned to turn their words into a piece of art representing the child’s life which the family keeps – all at no cost to the families.
We are pleased to be hosting an intimate afternoon gathering of love, art, and camaraderie as we unveil the commissioned art pieces inspired by the 13 families who shared their stories with our Give Grief a Voice project this year. We are also hosting a panel discussion, which will be live-streamed, for folks wishing to join us virtually. The panelists include Buzzy’s Bees writers, artists, and supported families. It will be an opportunity to hear the origin story of the GGaV project, the growth of the program, and the program’s goals. Learn more about how it works and hear directly from participants about the impact the GGaV Project has had on them.
Buzzy’s Bees fundraises to cover all costs. We are holding an online art auction with generously donated pieces from various artists. Bid on pieces before it closes on Sunday, Oct 24 at 8pm PST. Or click here to donate to Buzzy’s Bees, a 501(c)3 organization.
